While Francois was born in Quebec, he spent the first 15 years of his life living in a waterfront community on the west coast of Africa.  Water sports and activities were a daily thing back then.  

Now a high school math teacher by day and diving instructor in his off time, he enjoys sharing his love of diving with new students.  He started diving in 2011, earned his divemaster rating in 2014, and became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in 2019.  Currently an IDC Staff Instructor he has joined the instructor development team at Dive Kawartha. 

Francois won’t stop there as there are several other courses he is interested in pursuing, which fits into the "always learnign & improving" culture of the Dive Kawartha community. 

With whatever little time remains, he is trying to learn to play the guitar....Want to hear him play during surface intervals on dive charter weekends?  Well, you’ll have to wait a couple more years.
